An Introduction to Pilates

Kinesis Pilates & Fitness Studio is launching a series of workshops aimed at helping people to understand exercise and fitness. The workshops, which will take place at the studio near Goldsithney, will cover subjects ranging from exercise for beginners and fitness for the over-50s to interval training and Pilates.

They are designed to reduce the confusion surrounding exercise, providing everyone with the knowledge and confidence they need to take charge of their own fitness.

The two-hour workshops will include both a theory and practical element, providing those attending with a sound understanding of each subject, as well as an opportunity to try exercises for themselves.

Participants will also receive an information pack and workout ideas to try at home, as well as a voucher to be redeemed against the purchase of future classes or one-to-one sessions.

Places are limited and must be booked in advance. Cancellations made less than 48 hors before the event are non-refundable.

An Introduction to Pilates - 9.30am, Saturday, March 14th

This workshop is suitable for those with little or no Pilates experience. Participants will learn about the history and development of the Pilates method as well as its aims and benefits. They will then explore key principles such as breathing, centring and alignment before heading onto the mat for a class that will introduce them to some of the main exercises in the beginners’ repertoire.
