I am a Level 3 Pilates Instructor working in the Bromley/Orpington area, mainly with the over 50s many of whom suffer various degrees of back and neck pain. GPs are also allowed to refer patients to me under a special Patient Referral Scheme as I hold qualifications in Level 3 Nutrition and Exercise.
I myself began using Pilates after suffering back and neck pains including repeated visits to Chiropractors costing me £250-£300 per a month. I was advised to take Pilates classes and noticed an improvement after only six sessions. This was my inspiration to teach Pilates so that I could help others benefit. In less than six months I moved from living with constant pain – taking pain-killers – to no pain and no pain-killers. I even started taking dance classes which involved very demanding physical strength and endurance.
I recently expanded my qualification to Level 3 Exercise Referral which means GPs could refer people who suffer from various health conditions including back pain to work with me and improve their health.
I constantly strive to improve my knowledge to deal with the array of common problems people suffer from, such as: sciatica, frozen shoulder, shoulder impingement, lower back aches, restricted movement in the neck and hips etc
