Prenatal Pilates Class

Join me for a Prenatal Pilates class to help maintain your strength, fitness and mobility in preparation for birth and beyond!

Pilates is a wonderful form of exercise during pregnancy. It helps you to maintain your correct posture as your body changes shape, reduces lower back pain, strengthens your centre and pelvic floor muscles used during labour, is relaxing, and promotes a faster recovery postnatally.

The classes are very relaxing, and I offer different levels of exercises for each trimester so you can work at the right level right for you. The classes are suitable after you have had your 12-week scan and approval to exercise from your medical practitioner.

You will need a Pilates mat, gym ball (65cm diameter), cushion and hand towel. We may also use other small equipment, such as a 7” soft Pilates ball or medium resistance band. I will give prior notice if you need to bring these to class. Please wear comfortable clothing which you can move freely in and wear non-slip socks.

Becky Tovey Pilates

I trained as a Pilates Instructor in 2010 and qualified with a CYQ Level 3 Pilates Matwork Diploma with the Pilates Institute. I completed my Level 3 Award in Designing Pre and Post Natal Exercise Programmes with JPilates and Active IQ in 2012 and Teaching Pilates to Children qualification in 2020.

I teach my own matwork, small equipment classes in Woking and Guildford as well as Pre and Post Natal and Restorative Flow classes in Woking. I also teach via Zoom in my online studio.

I am passionate about the benefits of Pilates!
