Pilates

Pilates is a gentle, but very effective exercise system that focuses on connecting body and mind. Pilates is a safe and reliable way of:
• strengthening the back and core muscles
• mobilizing joints
• increasing flexibility and mobility
• helping to improve your posture.

During the mat classes we regularly use small items of equipment (e.g. balls, bands, loops, rings, foam rollers) to support and help with some exercises and to add a little more challenge to others.

5 Week Block - £57.50 (£11.50 per class)
Cartnet of 8 Drop-In classes £100 (£12.50 each)

The Pilates Base

After suffering from chronic back pain for years a specialist recommended that I take up Pilates. I needed to strengthen my core to help me manage the injury.
I noticed a big difference after only a few sessions; it gave me much better mind and body awareness, and improved my posture. I have also found the focus and concentration of the lessons very relaxing and soothing, leading to stress relief and inner calm.
In fact I enjoyed practicing Pilates so much that I wanted to learn more about it and become a teacher, to help others and pass on the benefits I had found.

I am qualified as a Body Control Pilates Mat Work teacher and trained in:
• Pilates for Beginners
• Intermediate Pilates
• Antenatal and Postnatal Pilates
• Pilates for osteoporosis
and on the Register of Exercise Professionals Level 3.
