General matwork class focussing on setting you up for the day ahead. A 50 minute class covering a full body flow of movement, strengthening and lengthening the whole body.

Pilates

Personal health and fitness is important to your wellbeing, Pilates can be your main choice of movement and exercise or compliment your other activities.

Running and walking are my other activities, Pilates has enabled me to maintain my physical wellbeing giving me a low impact workout that provides strengthening and lengthening to help me feel clear headed, strong and physically aware.

I am qualified as a Social Worker and person centred counsellor, becoming a Pilates instructor felt like a natural step, people express emotions differently and therefore require different modes to release. Pilates can be a tool of exercise and a tool for therapeutic support. If you feel good after exercise this is therapeutic.

Training with Rachel Rafifar through the 'Thoughtful Body' and the 'Pilates Foundation' has provided me with the groundwork to explore the benefits of Pilates for physical and personal wellbeing.
