Since a young age I have been immersed in a movement. Dance was where I learned to use my body as a language. It also taught me, that to perform a movement with precision one required a great deal of the body awareness, coordination and strength. I strongly believe this also applies to the everyday live. You don't have to be a dancer or an athlete to feel the benefits and rewards of a more balanced and coordinated movements, mobile joints and a good posture. I practice Pilates because I feel it helps me to train and nurture these life essential skills.
The first steps I took towards Pilates was when I walked in to the studio in south London to meet my amazing first teacher, it must have been 2007. Since then I have been practising Pilates along side dance and in 2013 I competed Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates. While it's just a beginning of my journey in teaching movement - it feels very rewarding. For me Pilates is moving and living.
