This is a popular friendly class focusing on lengthening, spinal mobilisation, abdominal and back strengthening plus balance. We use equipment such as foam rollers, stretch bands, chairs and small pilates ball. There's a good amount of stretching in each class. The routine frequently varies to challenge your body differently over time.

Having moved to the UK from Russia in 1998 and a subsequent successful career in Marketing, I first discovered Pilates in 2006 at the Alan Herdman Studio in London. Suffering from an old sports injury which led to constant hip pain and almost monthly trips to an osteopath, I felt transformed after coming to the studio for two years. The birth of my son and a move to Somerset later, my interest in Pilates deepened and I started my teacher training with Karen Pearce at The Pilates Studio in Somerset in 2010.
I'm fully qualified to teach both matwork and apparatus Pilates. I trained in affiliation with Alan Herdman Pilates London who is a well known Pilates guru, where I underwent a full year of rigorous training with over 600 hours of tuition, supervised teaching practice, observation, home study and anatomy lectures. For me, this is truly a journey that is always evolving and I feel totally inspired and committed to passing on the Pilates method’s fantastic benefits to others.
I'm fully insured to teach both Pilates matwork and apparatus (specialist Pilates machines).
