Pilates exercises target small postural muscles to improve core stability and posture, alleviating areas of tightness in the body and gradually realigning misaligned joints. Calm your mind and re-energise your body. Feel longer, leaner and more defined! Come along and try out a class!
Classes currently take place in 6 venues across Hackney, East London. Classes are suitable for complete beginners through to intermediate levels. Most classes are split by ability level but some are Mixed Ability/Open Level where you will be given options to work at your own pace.
My Local Pilates also provides;
"Healthy Back" classes for the prevention and management of Low Back Pain. These group classes (for up to 8 clients) will give you a gentle, balanced workout with the focus on strengthening the core abdominals that do so much to support your back, improve the quality of your movements and keep your spine flexible and strong.
"Pilates for Runners & Cyclists" - classes designed to improve flexibility and function of key muscles and joints running and cycling, whilst also improving effectiveness of pelvic and trunk stabilisers.

All classes are small with an absolute maximum of 12 clients, which creates a safe environment for the client and promotes learning and progression. The method employed for teaching is Body Control Pilates, widely regarded as the European benchmark for setting standards in Pilates teaching.
