These classes designed for older persons are taught by qualified Body Control Pilates coaches, with further qualifications and specialisation in work with Older Persons, osteoPorosis and LOWER BACK PAIN.
Classes are kept deliberately small to ensure personal attention at all times. Private classes are available by arrangement.

Alex Mavrocordatos is a certified Body Control Pilates coach, teaching Beginners and Intermediate classes in group and private classes. He is a Level 4 qualified specialist in chronic and non-specific LOWER BACK PAIN (BAck4Good and Back Care Association). He has further specialised training in work with Older Persons. . He prefers to work closely with individuals and small groups committed to improving their own bodies and themselves: refining their body alignment, addressing their aches and pains and most importantly developing their core strength in order to retain, regain or develop a sleeker profile and an active healthy body.
Alex trained as a performing artist in the seventies, specialising in Physical Theatre. His dance training was in the Laban system of movement which has many parallels with Pilates.
Involvement with Alexander technique from those days onward has kept feeding Body Awareness and Control into his performance work as well as his teaching and as key principles of Pilates' technique they stand firm as the starting point of Alex's classes.
