Annie has been working as a Physiotherapist for 8 years and has been lucky enough to work in England, Scotland and Australia.
She started her career in the NHS in Liverpool where she chose to specialise in outpatients treating conditions such as sports injuries, rehabilitation, post operative conditions and chronic pain. Private sector work alongside this enabled her to gain experience in providing treatment for medico legal cases and return to work clients.
Following a move to Scotland in 2011 to take on a clinic lead role for BMI Private Hospital, she furthered her treatment skills by training in Clinical Pilates through APPI (Australian Pilates & Physiotherapy Institute), setting up a range of mat classes for rehabilitation and general fitness that were both a big hit with clients and staff!
In 2013 she made the move with her husband to Australia where she worked rurally in a private sports injuries practice in New South Wales and then in a private Physiotherapy and Pilates clinic in Sydney.
Since working in Australia she has become even more passionate about Clinical Pilates and the benefits it provides, here she gained the opportunity to specialise in Clinical equipment Pilates. In this environment her caseload was a range of clients from post operative spinal surgery, to ballet dancers and competing tri athletes, they all required a different approach but had the same goal to return to what they loved doing.
Her main aim is to aid people’s recovery, to reduce pain and allow them to return to normal function. Through the use of hands on treatment and clinical Pilates Annie feels the two work in unison together to help resolve issues and prevent them from re occurring.
