Join me and other Mum's for a relaxed post-natal Pilates class, designed to help strengthen and mobilise the whole body. This specialised class will increase your awareness of your alignment and help you to re-balance your body, following 9 months of pregnancy and the early months with a new baby.
Pilates is a wonderful form of exercise postpartum as the movements predominately target the structures effected by pregnancy and delivery. We will focus on finding and maintaining correct alignment, improving your balance, core stability and regaining muscular strength, particularly the pelvic floor. The exercises will help you to engage the deep abdominals and encourages the realignment of the rectus abdominis after separation during pregnancy. The classes will also help you to regain your pre-pregnancy shape in a gradual and effective way.
The classes are very relaxed, and you are welcome to bring non-crawling babies. You can still join us if you are running a few minutes late or need to stop during the class to feed or change your baby. The session will run for an hour, and we will aim for 45 minutes of movement. The classes are a great opportunity to take some time for you and meet other mums, with the bonus of not needing childcare!
The classes are suitable after you have had your 6-week post-natal check with your GP or midwife and approval to exercise.

I trained as a Pilates Instructor in 2010 and qualified with a CYQ Level 3 Pilates Matwork Diploma with the Pilates Institute. I completed my Level 3 Award in Designing Pre and Post Natal Exercise Programmes with JPilates and Active IQ in 2012 and Teaching Pilates to Children qualification in 2020.
I teach my own matwork, small equipment classes in Woking and Guildford as well as Pre and Post Natal and Restorative Flow classes in Woking. I also teach via Zoom in my online studio.
I am passionate about the benefits of Pilates!
