Using balance, breathing, control, centering, concentration, and precision as the basic principles, Pilates is a discipline that emphasizes in strengthening the mid-section, therefore improving posture while releasing stress from joints and other parts of the body. This results in bringing back the natural curves of the spine which then make way for proper breathing, improved blood flow, cardiovascular stamina, elasticity and flexibility, muscle toning, strength building, mental clarity, and over-all confidence.
