My Pilates Hub classes are taught as clinical Pilates sessions. Class sizes are smaller so a ‘hands on’ approach is adopted. Your posture, positioning and control are continuously monitored throughout the class to give you a personal, safe and effective experience.
Fitness-style Pilates classes usually have more participants, often delivered at a faster pace; endurance can be lost and the recruitment of the local stabilising muscles do not switch on, which is what we are aiming to strengthen in Pilates. Lower class numbers make it easy to monitor all participants and spot abnormalities, giving you the maximum benefit of your Pilates session.
I love to see people improve and progress each week, I strive to make the classes fun and interesting with different exercises each week (and often use small equipment for variety).
The classes are mixed ability, therefore, I am able offer safe progressions and regressions where necessary and offer individual advice which is one of the benefits of lower class sizes.
Classes are taught on a Wednesday 930 am and 1045am. Block courses are between 5-7 weeks depending how the terms falls.

Hi I'm Maxine and I live in Wooburn Green, Bucks. I currently run a fitness studio in Burnham where I teach a range of exercise classes. My background since the early age of 3 is dance, exercise and movement . This insight at an early age has given me body awareness, knowledge of how muscles function, move and heal . As I've become older, injuries have appeared, this has given a me great interest in how to recover and rehabilitate through Pilates based exercise. My passion to rehabilitate, especially others continues to grow. I completed my YMCA Pilates qualification in 2007 and in 2009 trained in Sports and Remedial Massage at St Marys University, Twickenham .
I am also a Reformer Pilates qualified teacher and teach out of a private room in Wooburn Green. After the first session of block os 121 mat- base and reformer sessions I will devise a bespoke plan based on my findings . This will include; posture analysis , range of movement and muscle tests.
Mat based classes take place in Flackwell Health community Centre on Wednesdays. Next intake is September 2021.
