I received exceptional training with Anoushka Boone one of the UK’s pre-eminent Pilates teachers. Anoushka traveled to the US to train with Eve Gentry who trained directly with Joseph Pilates and this detailed understanding of the Pilates method has been passed on to me. After training for over 18 months I received Level 3 Diploma in teaching Pilates.
I have gone on to receive Level 4 Certificate in Programming Physical Activity for individuals with Low Back Pain and GP Exercise Referral for Health Management.
I have also trained with The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute on Full Studio Equipment. The APPI technique of Pilates instruction ensures that safe and scientifically researched movement patterns are learned. APPI Pilates can be applied to rehab, retraining of alignment, correcting posture, improving range of movement, supporting spine and safe strength training. I have a wide range of further qualifications such as Pure Stretch, Barre Concept, The Melt Method, which all feed in to my daily teaching.
Through teaching Pilates I enjoy helping people to re-connect with their bodies, to find pleasure in moving and gain a real sense of well-being. My classes encourage the client to challenge themselves in a safe environment in order to discover and retrain the way they use and think about their own body.
